My life, as of July 2001

Born: January 9, 1975 in Metairie, Louisiana

Grew up: In Baton Rouge, Louisiana with an older brother (Evan) and sister (Jennifer). Went away for two years of high school in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Spent 5 1/2 years at LSU, with a half a year in there spent working in London with two of my closest friends in the world, Kristina and Anne.

School and Work: When I was in middle school, and for most of high school, I wanted to be a microbiologist. I loved science. Then, after nearly failing physics, chemistry, and calculus in high school, but acing photography and video production, I found my creative side. Instead of majoring in biology, I chose Mass Communications.

I had big plans to work in video production/direction, but found my way to graphic design - the kind you can do without an art degree. I worked for free magazines and newspapers until I (finally) graduated from university, and then went to work with a friend doing web design.

And now my friend owns the company, and we create e-commerce websites and sell Mardi Gras stuff, fresh seafood, and British food and books.

Hobbies: Reading, running, reading about running. Wish I could read while I run, but alas.

Goal: By the time I'm thirty, I want to live in England. Preferably in a tiny stone cottage with a walled garden in the Cotswolds somewhere, but hey, I'm easy.

Currently, I live with my best friend (the aforementioned) Kristina while she finishes up her third year of law school. (The other aforementioned) Anne just finished her third year and is about to take the bar. By the time I'm running the streets of London, she'll be living in New York. I have a cat named Isabel, but she only answers to Stinky. Actually, she doesn't really answer to that. She's kind of dumb.

Update (1 Nov 2001): Anne lives in New York, still waiting on her bar results. Stinky is still dumb.

Update (19 Dec 2001): Anne passed the bar. Wahoo!
